·          ADVANTAN is a potent corticosteroid cream used in the treatment of moderate to severe cases of eczema (a skin condition with itching, redness and a burning feeling.  In some forms there may also be oozing sores that become hard and scaly). 

 

·          ADVANTAN can also be used to treat other types of dermatitis (itching skin diseases)

 

·          ADVANTAN is available only with a doctor’s prescription and is fully funded.

 

·          ADVANTAN comes in two formulations to best suit your needs.

o         Cream (15g)

o         Ointment (15g)

ADVANTAN - Methylprednisolone aceponate 0.1%

 

Do not use ADVANTAN if you are allergic to methylprednisolone aceponate, if you have bacterial, fungal or viral skin infections.

Tell your doctor if you have any other skin conditions, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding; you are taking any other medicines including any that you buy without a prescription from your pharmacy, supermarket or health food shop.

Like all medicines ADVANTAN can cause some side effects such as burning, itching or irritation of the skin at the site.  Skin discoloration, redness or rash.  Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you notice anything that is making you feel unwell.

Always use ADVANTAN strictly as instructed by your doctor.

 

ADVANTAN is a fully funded prescription medicine.  Normal doctors fees and Pharmacy charges apply.
